Welcome to the MMS Technology and Learning Resource Center
March 31, 2013
It's been an exciting year here at MMS, not only have our students been creating amazing work inside there classrooms, we had an incredible Dream.Think.Do! event in December. We also launched three big technology initiatives in our school, our PreK-2
for all students in 3rd - 8th grade and a great web-based science supplement
for our 6th-8th grade students.
For details on all of them, please select your link on the side and feel free to email me about any questions you have.

"Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."

First off, I want to give you all a huge congratulations on the success of the Dream.Think.Do! Event.
I was amazed as I walked around, seeing our students, families, partners and community engaged in the projects you and your students created. I was overwhelmed thinking that this was our first Gallery Tour, it felt like we've done this same thing many times.
Job well done.
I do have one request, I took photos of all the exhibits (if you want copies let me know) and I'm creating a digital folder for them all and I would like to include your text panel inside the exhibit folder.
With that said, if you have a minute, please email me the digital version of the text panel you used for your exhibit.
Also a quick equipment update. As we narrow down to the last weeks of school it's time to start gathering all your technology equipment that will be turned in to me the last week of school (cameras, flipcams, laptops etc).
I will be sending out the end of year technology checklist next week. But first I wanted to ask everyone to please let me know, if you know you will not be turning something in, like a camera or cable was misplaced, something was lost or possibly stolen.
Please shoot me an email with any missing items you may have and an approximate date where you noticed it was missing.

I would like to take a moment to say thank you to our staff and school community for coming together the past few weeks in preparation for our magnet site visit. We couldn't have done it without your help. With that said, I believe the visit went well and we really showed them how vested we are in making the Magnet happen.
A note to our math and science teachers, be sure to log in to the website and visit the internal documents page to get the information to sign up for and create your Explore Learning account.
I want to let you know I will be traveling to Dallas for the Magnet Schools of America Conference, so I will be out of the office on Friday and the following week
we have a technology leadership team meeting on Monday the 21st.
April 23, 2012
This week we have a Technology Leadership Team meeting Monday at 3:30pm and I'm excited to see everyone here gearing up for a very busy month ahead with site visits, teacher board production and a lot of new student work to be showcased. While you are planning out any projects and you need something specific technologically please let me know.
Currently, I'm working on the summer equipment budget and what we need to purchase to make sure we start the next school year off right. I'm also going to be adding a new section to the site focusing on the Technology Leadership Team, so please check back often.

Greetings and salutations fellow staff and school community,
It's hard to believe I've been part of this amazing school for almost a year, and what a year it's been. Going through the ups and downs, the learning and sharing, watching our students grow and trying to find a moment to sit back and just take it all in. It's been a ride, and I see a lot of great things happening.
So, after almost a year of watching and participating in our school, I have taken some time over the break to compile a bunch of my data into one central location for you to learn about what has been going on and what is being planned for our amazing school.
This little wikispace will be the information hub for you to learn about all our technology updates and I will consistently update the pages as information progresses.
Please let me know if you have any feedback or would like to contribute to any of the areas. Please bookmark this page, so you can refer to it later on as I continue to add more information.
